Setting Up Webhooks
Webhooks in Socialtility allow you to integrate with other services to receive notifications or trigger workflows whenever specific actions occur in your Socialtility workspace. Follow this guide to set up, manage, and monitor your webhooks seamlessly.
Important Notice
Webhooks are currently available to all users. However, in the future, webhooks will no longer be included in the Standard and Professional tiers. We encourage users on these plans to review their usage and consider upgrading if continued access is needed.
Steps to Set Up Webhooks
Navigate to Configuration from the dashboard menu.
Click Webhooks.
Create a Webhook by clicking Create Webhook.
Enter the following details for the webhook:
- Name: A descriptive name for the webhook.
- Callback URL: The URL where you want to receive webhook notifications.
- Method: Select the HTTP method (POST, GET, PUT, DELETE) that will be used for sending the webhook.
- Content-Type: Choose the content type (
application/json
orapplication/x-www-form-urlencoded
). - Max Attempts: Define the maximum number of attempts to resend the webhook if a failure occurs.
- Status: Set the webhook status (active or inactive).
- Security Secret (optional): Add a security token to verify webhook authenticity.
- Events: Select the events that should trigger the webhook (e.g., account added, account updated, post deleted, post scheduled, post published, publishing post failed).
Test the Webhook by clicking Test to verify that your configuration is working correctly.
Click Save to finalize your webhook setup.
Viewing Webhook Deliveries
Once your webhooks are set up, you can monitor their delivery status to ensure everything is working as expected.
- Navigate to Configuration from the dashboard menu.
- Click Webhooks.
- Select the webhook you want to monitor by clicking the Webhook Deliveries icon for the webhook you want to manage.
- View Delivery Statistics:
- In the Deliveries section, you can view the status of webhook deliveries.
- Filter by All, Succeeded, or Failed deliveries to see detailed stats for each event triggered by the webhook.
Editing or Deleting a Webhook
You can edit or delete a webhook if changes are needed or the webhook is no longer required.
Click the ellipsis (three dots) next to the webhook you want to modify.
- Select Edit to modify webhook details such as URL, events, or status.
- Select Delete to remove the webhook from Socialtility.
Alternatively, click the Webhook Deliveries icon for the webhook you want to manage.
- In the top-right corner of the Deliveries page, you’ll find icons to Edit or Delete the webhook.
Make sure to review your changes or confirm deletion when prompted.
