Using Third-Party URL Shorteners
Socialtility allows you to use third-party URL shorteners, but with some limitations. This guide explains how you can manually use external shorteners and how our built-in shortener works.
Can I Use Other URL Shorteners?
Yes, you can use a third-party URL shortener, but you will need to generate the short link manually in the external tool and then share that link in your social post.
How It Works
- You generate the short link using a third-party link shortener.
- You paste that short link into your Socialtility post.
- When a visitor clicks your post link, it will first pass through Socialtility’s shortlink and then redirect to your third-party shortlink, which will finally resolve to the intended destination.
Limitations
- No automatic shortlink generation: You cannot configure Socialtility to automatically generate shortlinks using a third-party tool.
- For automated link shortening, you must use Socialtility's built-in shortener, which uses this domain: 👉 https://rfr.bz
Custom Link Shortener Domain
Want to use your own custom shortlink domain? You can purchase a Custom Link Shortener domain through Socialtility. This will allow us to use your domain instead of https://rfr.bz when generating shortlinks.
💡 Ask your account manager for more details on purchasing a custom shortlink domain.
